yo!

i'm back to doing prompts!

for those who dont know what prompts are or how to do it, you can send something to my inbox, be it anon or not, giving me a prompt (characters, theme youd like to see, headcanons, etc) and i will write a little drabble for it.

for a while when i did prompts, i cross posted, but due to me being really lazy and not wanting to do that, they wont be posted on ao3 starting with whatever flood of prompts i get.

when you send in a prompt, you can leave something vague or you can send specific characters or fandoms. i am not going to list them out again like i did last time, but it should be pretty clear, depending on how long you've followed me.

i do ask that the prompts be kept appropriate and sfw. i will delete the prompt if you send me something nsfw or something i am not comfortable writing for.

edit:

ayo! im doing the bad things happen bingo. im going to make what i get in mine available for send in prompts if anybody is interested in sending them in. they do not have to follow the line of whump, they can focus on the c in h/c. ill be reblogging and repinning this when i get my bingo card in.

til then.

hi there!

my bad things happen bingo card came in!

what does that mean?

that means i will be working on fics based on tropes given to me that are very… angsty. bad things will happen. or have happened, or are happening.

though i already have some ideas floating around in my head for some of these, i thought it might be good to open it up to my prompts! i dont get very many prompts, but i want to give that option.

main guidelines to be followed for the prompts: the above guidelines still apply, though they are a little looser since its hard to make some of these things sfw (in the gore/horror aspect). you can send in characters and the tropes that youd like to see me write, but please be aware if you send in more than one trope, only one counts toward the card.

also please have patience, bc while i am posting this here, im getting super busy with my outside life.

heres the card:

i will be reblogging this (not repinning) when i finish one, so be sure to keep an eye on the notes of this post for updates!

EDIT: lol ignore that last bit. what i will be doing instead of reblogging cause that gets tiring, ill just delete the one here and put the new one. :)

Pinned Post i dont think i can tag this one with bthb just because its not an actual story but like here feel free to go bananas.

People don't like to admit it bcs cringe or w/e but Homestuck really did revolutionize the webcomic as a storytelling medium and I am endlessly frustrated that before webcomic artists could really stretch our legs fucking webtoonz swooped in, set a new, more restrictive standard, and then monetized and monopolized the ever living fuck out of the concept of The Webcomic until it drove away anyone who couldn't be a professional quality manga artist for free, and now the only webcomics that actually feel like spiritual successors to Homestuck are so obscure they're basically cult classics that you have to beg people to read.

Like it's just so wild to be in high school and see Homestuck be like "we're using like fifteen different artistic mediums to tell this story bcs we can" and be really fucking inspired by that, only to grow up and see basically every webcomic ever have to conform to One Single Standard or fucking perish.

Actually, I realized my real point here: we all need to make our art weirder. Please make weird art. I want more stuff like Prequel Adventure and 17776 and MyHouse.wad and I want it now. Capitalism thrives on conformity. We must be weird at all costs.

Laughing at the thought of Robin and Eddie meeting up at the park with Chrissy and Steve like they’re bringing their jocks out for a playdate where they just jog laps around the park and Steve teaches her how to play basketball while she teaches him some cheers and they love being so active with each other, meanwhile Robin and Eddie are just chilling together on a nearby bench or the swing set watching their jocks having fun and gossiping about the party.

Great news, SAG-AFTRA has created an influencer hub for anyone trying to figure out what they should or should not be doing as a person who makes things on the internet during the strike.

Bad news, I have already SEEN WITH MY OWN TWO EYES people in fandoms I talk about and participate in spreading misinformation that these guidelines are only for union influencers. This is not true, it’s for all of us.

Solidarity in this case looks like no organically talking about, cosplaying from, accepting brand deals to promote works from struck companies. I am begging, covered in blood and sweat, I have run all the way here I have been running for years, listen to the official union sources and act accordingly or be prepared for the people who make those things you love to view you quite differently.
